Tubular netting 25-50 mm x 200 m in violet

Sitting between the fine and the heavy versions, this middle size is — for good reason — the roll that empties first in many packing departments. The netting stretches from 25 to 50 mm and so fits the great majority of pipes, fittings and loose components passing through a warehouse every day. The 200-metre roll stays in its dispenser box right down to the final metre.

Pipes, fittings and valves

Think of copper and steel tubing, ball valves, couplings, shut-off valves, hydraulic nipples and brass fittings. These are precisely the products with a turned or polished surface that suffers in a crate or carton as soon as two pieces touch.

Tools, components and traded goods

Hand tools, sanitary fittings, door hardware, small light fittings and turned machine parts also fall within this range. Because the netting is elastic, there is no need to measure every item: anything between roughly 25 and 50 mm slides straight in.

Violet as a fixed colour in your process

Violet is rare in a warehouse, which makes it excellent as a signal colour of your own. Many customers reserve it for one specific flow — items still to be inspected, returns, or orders for a regular customer. Packers can then see from a distance where a product stands in the chain without reading a single label.

How to work with the netting

Place the dispenser box beside the packing table, pull the netting over the product and cut it with ordinary scissors. The netting stretches lengthwise too, so a piece slightly shorter than the product still closes neatly once stretched — saving both material and cutting time. Polyethylene is unaffected by oils and greases, so greased components can go straight in without an extra layer.

More protective material

For flat or large surfaces, foam foil works better, and sharp edges are protected with corner profiles. If the product then goes into a box, our filling materials and corrugated cardboard take care of the remaining space.

Frequently asked questions

How does this differ from the finer version?

Only in the stretch range: the finer size is meant for products up to around 25 mm across, while this version covers 25 to 50 mm. The quality of 20 grams per metre and the 200-metre roll length are identical, so handling feels exactly the same.

Does the netting fit square or rectangular profiles?

Yes. In that case measure the diagonal of the profile rather than the side, because that is the distance the netting has to span. If the diagonal falls between 25 and 50 mm, the netting closes around the profile without the corners pushing through.

How much does a full roll weigh?

Around 4 kilos including the dispenser box. An operator can lift it onto the packing table with one hand, and the boxes take up little space on a pallet or shelf.

Does the netting stay supple in an unheated warehouse?

Polyethylene remains flexible at low temperatures, so the netting slides over a product just as easily in a cold hall as indoors. Do store the box in a dry place so the dispenser carton stays firm.

What is the best way to store an opened roll?

Simply leave the roll in its box and push the end back through the opening by a few centimetres. The box keeps the netting dust-free and stops the roll unwinding on the workbench.
