Slim goods, no wasted film

Many bags are chosen too wide, which leaves loose film and an untidy pack. At 7 cm wide and 26 cm long this bag follows the shape of slender products. Think of breadsticks, grissini, cinnamon sticks, tea sticks, tapers, pencils, markers, cable ties and short pieces of wire.

Why a narrow gusset works

The 2.25 cm gusset is small, and that is deliberate. It adds just enough depth for the bag to open and stand, but it does not make the bag bulky. In a crate or on a shelf, narrow bags stand side by side and use space efficiently, which is helpful when you pack in volume.

Sealing and presentation

Fold the top over once or twice and close it with tape or a clip, or seal it with a heat sealer for a tidy flat edge. The bag is open and cannot be reclosed after opening. Printed labels can be attached to the folded top.

At 20 my the film suits light goods, and thicker film is stiffer if the ends of your products are pointed. LDPE is recyclable and suitable for direct food contact.

Frequently asked questions

Is a narrow or a wide bag better for thin goods?

A narrow bag follows the shape of slim goods and wastes less film. A wide bag leaves loose material and looks untidy. Match the width of the bag to the widest bundle you want to pack.

Can I use these bags for breadsticks?

Yes, the film is suitable for direct food contact, and 26 cm is a practical length for many breadsticks. Check the length of your sticks first and leave room to fold the top.

Why is the gusset only 2.25 cm?

A small gusset keeps the bag slim. It still opens when filled, so the bag stands up, but it does not add bulk. For thicker bundles you would be better off with a bag that has a deeper gusset.

What happens to the bag after use?

LDPE is a recyclable plastic. Offer used bags with other clean plastic film, in line with the collection rules that apply in your area, and take off tape where you can.
