The all-rounder among long gusseted bags: 18 x 4 x 50 cm in 20 my. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags for long loaves, large bouquets and bulky bundles, and this is the size and thickness to start with. The film is transparent and food-safe.
If your product is both long and fairly wide, this is where to start. The 18 cm width and 50 cm length take long loaves, large bouquets, curtain panels, bundles of leaflets, yoga mats, rolled textiles and collections of tools. The 20 my film strikes a balance between flexibility and strength.
Bakers use it for long loaves and stacks of rolls, florists for generous bunches. The clear film shows the contents, and the 4 cm gusset prevents the bag from collapsing against the product. The film is suitable for direct food contact.
The same dimensions exist in 18 and 25 my. Use 18 my for light and soft goods, 20 my for general use, and 25 my when the contents are sharper or rougher. Thicker film is stiffer and more resistant to tearing and puncturing.
Close the open bag with tape, a clip or a heat sealer; it is not resealable. Used bags can be recycled as LDPE, together with other clean plastic film.

20 my is the general-purpose grade. Switch to 18 my for light goods or to 25 my for sharper and rougher ones. Testing a sample with your own product settles the question.
A rolled mat might, depending on its diameter; the opening is 18 x 4 cm. Check the diameter of the rolled product and compare it with the bag before ordering a full box.
Fold the top over a few times and use tape or a clip, or seal it with a heat sealer. A longer fold-over gives a firmer closure and keeps dust out of the bag.
Yes, LDPE is a recyclable plastic. Offer clean bags with other plastic film, according to the collection rules where you are, and remove tape or labels if you can.
