Long and light: this 18 x 4 x 50 cm bag in 18 my film is for goods that need length rather than strength. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags for baguettes, flowers and rolled print. The LDPE is transparent and suitable for direct food contact.
A 50 cm bag uses a fair amount of film. With the lighter 18 my grade, you keep material use down while still getting the length. That makes sense for soft contents: baguettes, long bread, bouquets, bundled herbs, rolled fabric, curtains, bed linen or brochure bundles.
This size also exists in 20 and 25 my. The 18 my bag is the most flexible and the most economical. Choose a thicker film if the contents have sharp corners, as thicker film is stiffer and more resistant to tearing and puncturing.
Because the film is thin and the bag is long, fill it carefully to avoid creasing. The gusset opens wide enough to slide a baguette or a bouquet in without folding. Transparent film means the contents are checked at a glance, and it is suitable for direct food contact.

Interested in a more robust film? If you do not need side folds, our flat plastic bags are the simpler option. For made-to-measure lengths, tubular film can be cut and sealed yourself, and you will find more formats among our other gusseted bags.
For soft and smooth goods, yes. For sharp or rigid contents, a thicker grade is the better choice, since thicker film is stiffer and more resistant to puncturing and tearing.
Baguettes, long bread, bouquets, herbs, rolled fabrics and print bundles. Measure the length of your product and keep roughly five centimetres spare to fold the top over.
Let the gusset open first, hold the bag by the top and slide the product in steadily. Standing the bag in a crate while you fill it keeps the film smooth and the opening wide.
No. The film is suitable for direct food contact in every thickness. The choice of thickness is about stiffness and resistance, not about whether the bag is food-safe.
