Why choose the thinnest grade?

Not every product needs heavy film. If you pack soft, smooth goods such as folded T-shirts, scarves, bread rolls, bakery pastries, leaflets or flyers, 18 my is usually sufficient and uses less material than a thicker grade. That helps keep packaging costs down on large volumes, and the thin film is easy to fold and close.

Where thin film is not the best choice

The thinner the film, the less stiff and tear-resistant it is. Thicker film is stiffer and handles sharp or angular goods better. If the contents have corners, pointed ends or rough surfaces, consider the 20 my or 25 my version of this size instead of this one.

Size and handling

The bag is open and not resealable; close it with tape, a clip or a heat sealer. The clear film shows the contents at once, which helps when you pick or check orders. LDPE is suitable for direct food contact and recyclable.
