The deepest gusset in this width: 5 cm. The 14 x 5 x 35 cm gusseted bag is for thicker, bulkier goods that need more space. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags for loaves, produce and bulky sets. The film is transparent and food-safe.
One centimetre extra on each side gusset adds noticeable volume. When opened, this bag becomes a rectangle of about 14 x 5 cm, which suits round or thick products: a cob loaf, rolls in a stack, cauliflowers, courgettes, bundles of towels, rolls of kitchen paper or a set of mugs wrapped together.
Greengrocers and bakers use deeper bags to avoid squeezing their goods. The film is suitable for direct food contact, so it can hold produce and bread without extra wrapping. Transparency lets customers see what they are buying.
If the goods are flat or slim, the 4 cm gusset is enough, and you save on film. Choose the 5 cm gusset when you notice the bag pulling tight at the sides. The 35 cm length is common for medium products.
At 20 my the film is flexible and handles most bulky but soft goods.
If you pack mixed goods, a few trial bags will show quickly whether the 4 cm or the 5 cm gusset suits them better.

Comparing gusset depths? Take a look at all our gusseted bags for further sizes, at plastic bags without a gusset for flat packs, or at tubular film if you prefer to cut each bag to length.
Choose it for thick, round or bulky goods where a 4 cm gusset would leave the bag tight. For flat or slim goods a smaller gusset is enough and uses less film.
A small round loaf usually does, but measure its diameter first. The bag opens to about 14 x 5 cm, so loaves that are much thicker than that will not slide in easily.
The bag has the same width and length as the 4 cm one, but its volume is larger because the gusset opens deeper. It therefore suits thicker, more voluminous goods.
Yes, the film is suitable for direct food contact. Close the bag with tape, a clip or a heat sealer, since it has no closure of its own and is not resealable.
