Half a metre long, 14 cm wide: the 14 x 4 x 50 cm gusseted bag is for long products such as large baguettes, flower bunches and rods. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags in long formats. The film is clear LDPE and suitable for food.
Some products simply do not fit a 45 cm bag once the top needs folding. A 50 cm length solves that for long baguettes, bunches of long-stemmed flowers, bundles of asparagus, rolled posters and drawings, and lengths of pipe or profile.
Rolled documents, posters and technical drawings are often packed in a tube. A gusseted bag is a lighter alternative: it keeps dust off and stays open during loading. The clear film makes it easy to see which roll is which.
Long bags are best filled while standing, with the product slid in from the top. The gusset keeps the opening wide. Close the bag with tape, a clip or a heat sealer. It is open and not resealable.
The 20 my film is flexible. LDPE is suitable for direct food contact, so bread and herbs are fine, and it can be recycled. When the contents are sharp-edged, a thicker film is stiffer and more tear-resistant.
Because a long bag is easy to damage at the base, avoid dragging filled bags across rough surfaces.
Check the neighbouring lengths of 45 cm in the same width if your goods turn out to be shorter than expected.

For the longest products, Related ranges worth a look: more gusseted bags, flat plastic bags and tubular film for cutting and sealing to size.
It is used for long baguettes, long-stemmed flowers, asparagus, rods, rolled documents and pipe sections, in other words for goods where the length is the deciding factor.
Yes, rolled posters and drawings fit if their length is under about 45 cm and their diameter fits the 14 x 4 cm opening. Check your roll first with a sample bag.
The gusset in that bag is 5 cm instead of 4 cm, so it has a little more volume. The 4 cm version on this page is a bit slimmer and suits slimmer bundles.
Once filled, the side gusset gives it a base. Very long bags full of light goods may lean, so lay them down for transport if needed, or place them in a crate.
