For goods measured in half-metres: the 10 x 4 x 45 cm gusseted bag is one of the longest narrow formats. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for gusseted bags for rods, long-stemmed flowers and pipe. The film is clear LDPE and food-safe.

Long-stemmed and long-bodied products

At 45 cm this bag handles single stems of roses and other cut flowers, bundles of chives and long herbs, drum sticks, broom handles, aluminium profiles, hose sections and pieces of pipe. The narrow width keeps the pack slim, so it is easy to put in a box or slide into a rack.

Storage and logistics

Narrow, long bags are easy to handle in bulk. A box of 1000 occupies little floor space, and the filled bags can be placed lengthwise in a carton. The gusset gives each bag a base when filled, which helps while loading.

Closing and quality

Fold over the top by a few centimetres and close the bag with tape, a clip or a heat sealer. It is not resealable. Since the film is transparent, a quick glance shows whether the correct item is inside.

For sharp-ended items such as metal profiles, a thicker film is stiffer and more resistant to puncturing; the 20 my version suits lighter goods and food. The material is LDPE, suitable for direct food contact and recyclable.

Shorter goods sit more securely in the 40 cm bag of the same width, so measure before you decide.

Can I pack flowers in a 45 cm bag?

Yes, single stems and slim bunches fit well. For wide bouquets, look at a wider format, since 10 cm limits the thickness of the bunch you can pack in a single bag.

What is the maximum length of a product for this bag?

As a rule of thumb, choose a product length of around 40 cm or less, so there is enough space to fold the top over and close it properly with tape, a clip or a heat sealer.

Is the bag suitable for pipes with sharp edges?

For sharp edges a thicker grade is more resistant to puncturing. Test the bag with your own item before ordering a full box, so you know whether 20 my is enough for your goods.

How are the bags supplied?

Per box of 1000 pieces. They are open bags without a closure, so decide how you will close them before ordering, for example with tape, clips or a heat sealer.
