A length of 20 cm and a width of 10 cm make a bag of the size you would expect for a retail portion. Pick-and-mix sweets, roasted nuts, dried fruit, crisps or biscuits can be filled quickly, folded over and closed. The 2.5 cm gusset provides a stable base, so the filled bag stands in a display or on a scale.

Small parts and sets

In technical trade the same bag keeps small parts together: bolts and nuts, connectors, fuses, drill bits, craft supplies and spare parts. As the bag is transparent, the picker sees the contents at once, which saves opening each bag to check.

Choosing this size

If your product is longer than about 17 cm you need room to fold the top, so go for a longer length. For wider items, look at the 14 or 18 cm widths. For sharp-edged parts a thicker grade is stiffer and more resistant to puncturing than 20 my film.

The bag is open, not resealable. Close it with tape, a clip or a heat sealer. The material, LDPE, is suitable for direct food contact and can be recycled.
