Nichiban® gaffer tape combines the strength of duct tape with the cleanliness of a professional stage tape. The tape adheres firmly but leaves no adhesive residue when removed — ideal on floors, equipment and cables. Thanks to its matte, non-reflective finish, it is excellent for film, photography and stage, where shiny tape is undesirable. You tear the tape easily by hand, both lengthwise and crosswise, without scissors or a knife.
The Nichiban® tape comes in twelve colours, including black, grey and white for discreet finishing, plus signal colours such as red, blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, purple and brown. This way you code, mark or camouflage with ease — handy for cable management, set building and stage dressing.
You choose from six widths: 19, 25, 38, 50, 100 and 150 mm, in rolls of 25 or 50 metres. For narrow markings, take the 19 or 25 mm; for masking larger surfaces or securing floor coverings, the wide 100 or 150 mm.

Gaffer tape is the go-to in the events, film and theatre world: covering cables on walkways at fairs and exhibitions, securing floor coverings and sets, and finishing equipment neatly without adhesive residue. In addition, the Nichiban® proves its strength in industry, for sealing export packaging, installing air ducts, sandblasting and temporary repairs to, for example, sea containers and vehicles.
Both tapes have a strong cloth backing, but there is an important difference. Ordinary duct tape is glossy and can leave adhesive residue with prolonged use, while gaffer tape is matte and removes residue-free. For visible, temporary or professional applications, choose gaffer tape; for sturdy repairs, duct tape will do.
