Grey Nichiban® tape 50 mm x 50 m

Grey Nichiban® tape (50 mm x 50 m) is a professional gaffer tape of Japanese manufacture, type NT1200, with a strong cloth backing and high adhesion. The tape adheres firmly, yet can be removed cleanly after use without adhesive residue – it is precisely this combination that sets Nichiban® apart from ordinary duct tape. Grey is the neutral, most requested all-round colour and is barely noticeable when finishing and fixing. The 50 mm width is the versatile standard size for general fixing and finishing work.

Applications and sectors

Thanks to its strong adhesion and clean removal, this Nichiban® tape is used in a wide range of industries, including for:

• concealing and fixing cables on walkways at trade fairs and exhibitions;
• temporary repairs to sea containers, vehicles and machines;
• sealing and reinforcing export packaging;
• stage, lighting and sound engineering;
• assembling and temporarily sealing air ducts;

Can I use the tape on equipment and flight cases?

On most surfaces Nichiban® comes off cleanly, which makes it suitable for equipment and cases; test on lacquered or sensitive surfaces beforehand.

How do I recognise genuine Nichiban® tape?

By the printed core: genuine Nichiban® always has the text Nichiban® on the core. A blank core means it is not genuine Nichiban® and therefore does not have the same properties.

Can I apply the tape without tools?

Yes, the cloth backing tears by hand both lengthwise and crosswise, so you can work to size straight away without scissors or a knife.
