Using the loop tie

Place the tie around the object and bend the two loops towards each other. Hook the hook of the wire tie tool through both loops and pull the tool back and forth several times. This twists the wire around itself so it pulls tight and locks. A wire tie tool is essential here: closing the ties by hand is simply not practical.
