Thanks to the zinc layer these ties are highly rust-resistant. For special applications, copper-coated loop tie wire and plastic-coated loop tie wire offer an alternative.

Using the loop tie

Place the tie around the object and bend the two loops towards each other. Hook the hook of the wire tie tool through both loops and pull the tool back and forth several times. This twists the wire around itself so it pulls tight and locks. A wire tie tool is essential here: closing the ties by hand is simply not practical.

Are these ties suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Thanks to the zinc layer these ties are rust-resistant and stay reliable outdoors and in damp conditions over the long term.

Do I need a tool to close them?

Yes. You close the tie with a wire tie tool: hook it through both loops and pull it back and forth several times so the wire twists around itself and locks. Closing them by hand is not workable.
