Sometimes three centimetres decide whether the contents fit or not. At 430 x 300 x 150 mm this box is slightly longer than the widely used 400 mm format, with the same width and the same height. That bit of extra length pays off for contents in A3 format and for items that only just squeeze into a box of 400 mm. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall boxes, so our range of cardboard boxes also covers these in-between lengths.

Why 4 mm C-flute here

The second difference with the 400 mm format lies in the board quality. This version is made from 4 mm C-flute, where the shorter variant uses 3 mm B-flute. The wall is stiffer as a result and springs back into shape after a knock. On a low box with a long base that prevents the bottom from sagging.

How does this box differ from the 400 x 300 x 150 mm version?

On two points. It is 30 mm longer and it is made from 4 mm C-flute instead of 3 mm B-flute. Height and width are identical, only the wall is stiffer. Both sizes sit side by side in our folding boxes overview.

Does an A3 sheet fit in flat?

A3 measures 420 x 297 mm, so it fits in both length and width. Allow a few millimetres of play for sliding the sheets in and place a sheet of board underneath the printed matter if needed.

Why choose 4 mm for such a low box?

A low box with a long base has a relatively large bottom panel. At 3 mm that panel gives way sooner than at 4 mm, particularly when the load rests on a single point.
