Sanstrap® stretch band 10cm wide

Sanstrap® stretch band, 10 cm wide

Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for stretch and bundling film. Sanstrap® stretch band is a category of its own within that range: a narrow, exceptionally strong band 10 cm wide, transparent and supplied per roll. Thanks to the high tensile strength of the LLDPE, a single turn already holds far more than you would expect from film of this width.

The band is made to hold a stack of boxes or loose goods together during internal movements – from picking to inspection, from production to dispatch – without having to wrap the whole pallet first.

The alternative to strapping tape

Where strapping pulls tight around the load, cuts into carton edges and leaves sharp ends behind, Sanstrap® lays down a wide, elastic band that spreads the pressure. No tensioner or buckle is needed: you stretch the band into tension by hand and tear it off by hand. That means no sharp edges and no knife at the unloading point, which removes the risk of cuts and damaged packaging.

Securing a stack

Apply the band at roughly two thirds of the stack height, exactly where the load starts to shift first. Pull the band into tension as you walk around the stack and let the second turn overlap the first; the band clings to itself. On tall or irregular stacks, add a second band lower down. Tear it off with a short pull – nothing is left behind on the boxes.

Frequently asked questions

How does Sanstrap® differ from strapping?

Strapping is a narrow, non-elastic band that you close with a tensioner and remove with a knife. Sanstrap® is elastic, 10 cm wide and spreads the pressure over a larger area; you apply it by hand and tear it off by hand, without tools and without sharp edges.

Do I need any tools?

No. The band is tensioned and torn off by hand. If you would like to unwind the roll more comfortably, you can use a film dispenser that fits the core.

Does this replace wrapping the pallet?

For an internal move, usually yes: the stack stays together without sealing the pallet. If the load goes out on external transport or needs protection against dust and moisture, wrap it fully as well.

Does it leave adhesive or residue?

No. The band clings only to itself, so nothing is left on cardboard, timber or the product. The leftover material can also be recycled in the same stream as PE film.
