Loop dispenser for 25mm wide tape

Not every parcel calls for a 50 mm strip. On small boxes, cartons and envelopes a 25 mm web stays exactly on the seam, and that is what this red loop dispenser is built around. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for tape dispensers, and it is the narrow versions that are asked for by departments taping accurately and sparingly.

The narrow web as precision work

25 mm stays on the seam

On a box of 15 by 10 centimetres a 50 mm strip soon runs over the edge or halfway down the side. At 25 mm you lay the tape centrally on the seam and pull the flaps tight against each other, without adhesive creeping over the corners. The box stays square all round and the result looks tidy.

Bundling and holding together

A narrow web is ideal for holding small items together as a set: coiling and securing cables and leads, keeping bundles of components together, closing document folders or holding a packing slip in place. One ring around the bundle, then you cut.

Closing bags and securing fold-over flaps

Folding a bag shut or securing a fold-over flap is quicker at 25 mm as well. You use less material per action, which adds up noticeably in tape costs across thousands of shipments a year. The pack also looks neater than with a wide strip running across the whole lid.

Build and handling

Steel body with internal brake

The body is made of 0.8 mm coated sheet steel. The internal steel brake keeps constant tension on the roll, so the web comes out taut and does not run on the moment you let go. With a narrow web that difference shows: a 25 mm strip unwinding without tension twists easily and sticks to itself.

Pressure roller and serrated blade

The pressure roller presses the web onto the seam in a single pass so the adhesive grabs straight away. The serrated blade in hard steel cuts the tape off square the moment you lift the dispenser — including thin tape, which stretches rather than breaks under a blunt cut.

One-handed dispensing

The loop shape fills the hand, with your fingers through the frame. Your other hand stays free to hold the parcel, press the flap down or keep the bag open. On small packs that would otherwise slide across the bench, that is the difference between two actions and one.

Frequently asked questions

What is 25 mm wide tape used for in practice?

For everything that is too small for a wide strip: closing cartons and envelopes, bundling cables and groups of parts, sealing document folders and bags, and holding fold-over flaps in place. As marking or colour-coding tape, 25 mm is a common width too.

Does wider tape fit in this dispenser?

No. The roll holder and the blade are made for 25 mm; a 50 mm roll will not fit between the side walls. For wider webs you use a dispenser from the same range in the matching size.

Why does a narrow roll still have a 76 mm core?

76 mm is the industrial standard core. Rolls are slit from wide jumbo rolls onto that core regardless of their final width. A narrow roll therefore fits the same spindle size as a wide one, and you can use industrial tape instead of office rolls on a 25 mm core.

Does a narrow web hold well enough on a filled box?

On small, well-filled and lightweight boxes a single 25 mm strip seals the seam reliably, especially if you run the tape over the edge at both ends. For heavier or tall boxes we advise a wider web or an H-seal with extra strips across the side seams.
