What are packing list envelopes used for?

A packing list envelope keeps shipping documents visible and accessible without opening the package. The recipient can immediately identify the documents belonging to the shipment. This is useful for order processing, goods receipt, transport and storage. In addition to packing slips, the wallet can hold an invoice, returns form, customs document or work instruction.

Self-adhesive backing

The back has an adhesive layer. Remove the release liner and press the document wallet onto a clean, dry surface. The document is attached to the outside of the packaging and therefore remains separate from the goods inside the box.

Plain or with a standard print

Plain packing list envelopes have a transparent front, making the contents easy to identify. Printed versions are available with texts such as “Packing List”, “Documents Enclosed” and “Packing List/Invoice”. A version with a multilingual print is also available for international shipments.

Sizes and specifications

The range includes A6, DL, A5 and A4 sizes. The stated dimensions are internal measurements. Most versions are supplied in packs of 1,000, while the A4 version is packed in quantities of 500. In addition to wallets made from paper and LDPE film, there is a recycled version and an all-paper option.

Frequently asked questions

Which size packing list envelope do I need?

Choose the size based on the document and how you intend to fold it. A6 is suitable for small documents, DL for an A4 sheet folded into thirds, A5 for an A4 sheet folded in half and A4 for an unfolded sheet.

Are packing list envelopes waterproof?

Versions with LDPE film are water-resistant and protect the contents against normal transport moisture and dirt. They are not intended for prolonged immersion or permanent exposure to water.

What is the difference between plain and printed packing list envelopes?

A plain wallet has no text and can be used for different documents. A printed wallet is marked with wording such as “Packing List” or “Documents Enclosed”, making the document type easier to identify.

Which surfaces can I attach a packing list envelope to?

The self-adhesive wallets are suitable for common shipping packaging, including cardboard boxes, envelopes, crates and film. For proper adhesion, the surface must be clean, dry and free from dust.

Are plastic-free packing list envelopes available?

Yes. The range includes an all-paper packing list envelope. A version made from paper with recycled LDPE is also available.
