Where a U or L profile is intended for straight edges and corners, the O profile is made for everything round. Think of protecting pipe ends, conduits, metal and plastic tubes, furniture legs, shafts and cylindrical parts. The round recess encloses the product on all sides and stays in place by itself thanks to the clamping effect, often without any extra tape or cable ties.
Key benefits
The profile is light, moisture- and tear-resistant and reusable. Each strip is easily cut to the required length with a knife or scissors, so you waste very little material. The closed-cell foam absorbs no moisture and delivers constant, shock-absorbing protection throughout the entire logistics chain.
Versions: pre-slit and unslit
The Nomapack O profile comes in two versions. The pre-slit version has a pre-cut groove, so you can simply clip the profile around an existing pipe or round edge. The unslit version is closed (without a slit) and slides over the end of a pipe or rod. This lets you choose the most practical fit for each application.
Sizes and specifications
The Nomapack O profile is available in various sizes. The size designation consists of two numbers: the first number is the inner diameter — the round recess that closes around your product — and the second number is the foam wall thickness. A designation such as 35-5 mm therefore means an inner diameter of 35 mm with a wall thickness of 5 mm. This makes it easy to choose the profile that matches the diameter of your pipe or round edge.
