Storage blankets 150 x 200 cm in the bulk pack of 50

If you store other people's furniture, you count in storage units, racking bays or customer orders — not in individual blankets. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for storage blankets and moving blankets and we supply this pack of 50 grey storage blankets of 150 x 200 cm mainly to storage operators, self-storage sites and fulfilment providers holding furniture and interior goods. Each blanket weighs 1100 grams, around 350 grams per m², and is intended for goods standing in the same place for months.

Fifty blankets weigh roughly 60 kilos together. That is too heavy for the standard parcel network, so this pack ships as a freight consignment, usually on a pallet. Plan for the driver delivering to the first door and for your own side being able to unload — with a tail lift, a dock or a pallet truck. For moving it on internally afterwards, use equipment from our internal transportation range.

Why high-volume users end up at this pack size

With high throughput, the cost is not in the blanket itself but in the moment when no blanket is available. Someone who runs out of covering material halfway through an intake round either leaves goods uncovered or improvises with film. Fifty blankets on site removes that for an entire period, and you order when it suits you rather than under pressure.

One specification across the whole stock

Every blanket in this pack is identical: woven from a mix of fabrics including wool, hemmed all round and in the same grey finish. That is more practical than it sounds. Your staff do not have to choose, and if a damage claim comes in it is clear afterwards which material sat between the goods.

Breathable weave for long holding periods

Because this is genuine textile, the blanket lets water vapour through. In an unheated storage hall, surfaces cool down overnight and moisture condenses on them; under a sealed cover it stays there and causes white marks on lacquered wood and mould on upholstery. That is exactly the type of damage you are liable for as a custodian. A breathable blanket takes that risk factor out.

When do you still need a different blanket?

As soon as stored goods go back on transport, the load changes. Then you use the heavier 1300 gram moving blanket, which does not tear under a ratchet strap and does not slide off lacquered wood. For delicate, high-value pieces the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm offers the heaviest cushioning. In the warehouse, use strapping materials to secure stacks and furniture covers over upholstery.

Frequently asked questions

How is a 60 kilo pack delivered?

Not by parcel carrier but by freight forwarder, normally on a pallet. You receive advance notice of the delivery day or time slot. So give an address where someone is present during the day and where a lorry can reach; a residential address in a restricted-access street is not a practical choice for this pack.

What do I need in order to accept the delivery?

A tail lift or loading dock, plus a pallet truck to move the pallet inside. If you cannot unload, tell us when ordering: we can then book the consignment with a tail-lift vehicle. Do not try to lift it in one go — take the blankets off the pallet in bundles.

Is washing worthwhile compared with reordering?

For light soiling, yes: the blanket washes at a maximum of 30 °C and then lasts another full cycle. With grease, paint or mould, replacing is usually cheaper than cleaning, not least because an affected blanket passes that smell and stain on to the next item. Set a fixed rejection threshold rather than deciding case by case.

Can one delivery be split across several sites?

It can, but then you order a separate pack per site and enter a separate line per address. We do not break open a sealed bulk pack in transit. For smaller sites a pack of 5 or 25 is often the more sensible choice; get in touch and we will work it out for your locations.
