Not every situation calls for a full pack. Sometimes one blanket has been left behind at a customer's site; sometimes you want to handle what you are buying before committing to a stock. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for storage blankets and moving blankets, which is why we also supply this grey 1100 gram storage blanket as a single piece. It is exactly the same blanket as in the larger packs: same weave, same hem, same 150 x 200 cm.

Assess first, stock up afterwards

A blanket is hard to judge from a photograph. Order one and you can test the quality in your own setting before putting dozens into service. On arrival, look at these points:

• The hem: stitched all round, with no loose threads at the corners
• The weave: dense enough not to pass light when you hold it up
• The weight: 1100 grams should feel supple, not board-stiff
• The smell: a new blanket smells of textile, not of chemistry
• The drape: it should stay put on a rounded cabinet edge rather than slide off

The second reason for ordering one is more mundane. Blankets go missing, stay behind at a customer or get damaged in transit. Instead of breaking open a whole pack for a single gap in stock, you top that gap up one at a time. Your stock count is right again and the rest stays sealed.

Woven, breathable and 100% recycled

The blanket is woven from a mix of fabrics including wool and hemmed all round. The weave lets water vapour through, so no moisture is trapped against a cold lacquered surface — the cause of white marks and musty upholstery. Both the fibres and the polyester stitching thread are 100% recycled, in line with the rest of our sustainable packaging materials.

Do you need a storage blanket or a moving blanket?

Look at what the item is about to do. If it stays put — in a warehouse, showroom or storage unit — this 1100 gram storage blanket is the right one. If it goes down the stairs and into the van, you need the 1300 gram moving blanket: denser weave, higher tensile strength, rougher surface. For corner-sensitive, high-value furniture there is also the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm. Have a look at foam foil for polished surfaces and furniture covers for upholstery.

What can I cover with one blanket of 150 x 200 cm?

Three square metres is enough for a two-seater sofa, a dining table top, a desk or the front of a cabinet up to around two metres high. For a tall wardrobe or a double mattress the length falls short; that is what the XXL version of 150 x 300 cm is for.

How does it feel different from a 1300 gram moving blanket?

In the drape and in the surface. The 1100 gram storage blanket folds more easily and is lighter in the hand. The moving blanket feels firmer and rougher: that roughness is functional, because it keeps the blanket in place on smooth lacquered wood during transport. Lay them side by side and the difference is immediate.

How much space does one folded blanket take up?

Folded, it comes out at roughly the size of a deep desk drawer. One blanket therefore fits in a tool box, behind the driver's seat or on a shelf next to the rest of your packaging material — handy as a spare in the van.

Can this single blanket ship together with other packaging materials?

Yes. At around 1 kilo this is an ordinary parcel item that we add to the same consignment as, for example, tape or cardboard boxes. That saves a separate delivery and helps you reach the free delivery threshold.
