Padded camouflage blanket 183 x 203 cm green/beige - 1 piece

Padded camouflage blanket 183 x 203 cm for work outside the warehouse

Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for moving blankets and padded blankets, and this camouflage version exists for situations where your kit is not sitting in a clean van but on a site, a stage or an open load bed. Technically it is the same padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm and 2000 grams as the black working version; the difference is the green/beige camouflage print on the outside. That print does two jobs at once: it stays unobtrusive outdoors and it barely shows dirt.

Why the colour is functional here rather than a matter of taste

On an event site or a construction site, covering material lies in plain view for hours or days. A black or bright blanket over a catering trolley, a generator or a case of equipment draws the eye - and attention is exactly what you do not want there, whether it comes from curious visitors or from a camera angle the blanket has no business appearing in. The green/beige print lets the blanket disappear into grass, sand and planting.

The second effect is more practical. A padded blanket cannot go in the washing machine, so any dirt it picks up stays visible until the blanket is worn out. On black, dust and sand show up immediately; on a multi-tone camouflage pattern, a mud splash or grass stain simply merges into the print. The blanket therefore looks presentable far longer, even after a season of outdoor work.

The same construction as the black version

Under the camouflage print sits exactly the same build: 2000 grams of filling with a spunbond top layer, quilted through with zigzag stitching that spreads load across its width instead of along a single seam line. The filling is made entirely from recycled material; the spunbond on the outside is new material and gives a smooth surface that does not shed lint and does not transfer colour to whatever lies underneath.

What this blanket does outdoors - and what it does not

It keeps abrasion, impact and sunlight off your equipment and puts the thickest cushioning on corners and edges. What it will not do is seal out water. A padded blanket is textile, not a tarpaulin; in prolonged rain the filling soaks up water and the blanket gets heavy. If you work outdoors for longer periods, lay a tarpaulin over the blanket: the blanket handles the cushioning, the tarpaulin handles the water.

Camouflage blanket, moving blanket or storage blanket?

The woven 1100 gram storage blanket belongs indoors: keeping dust and light off furniture that stands still. The woven moving blanket of 1300 grams is the transport blanket: densely woven and tear resistant under a ratchet strap. This padded camouflage blanket is the heavy option for delicate, high-value equipment, with the added benefit that it does not stand out and stays looking clean for longer. For event build, defence and outdoor work that is often the deciding factor. Combine with corner profiles on exposed edges and floor protectors wherever you have to pass through interiors.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose camouflage over the black version?

Two reasons. Outdoors the blanket stays unobtrusive, which helps with set-ups that should not stand out, with defence-related transport, or at events where technical kit needs to stay out of shot. And because the pattern uses several tones, sand, dust and mud show far less than on a plain colour. If you work exclusively indoors and in the van, the black version is enough.

Can this blanket be left out in the rain?

Briefly, yes, but it is not waterproof. The filling absorbs moisture and becomes heavy, and drying it out afterwards takes a long time. If rain is forecast, put a tarpaulin over it. If it does get wet, hang it up until it is completely dry before folding it away, otherwise you get a musty smell trapped in the filling.

Is it suitable for covering equipment and cabling at events?

Yes, that is one of the most common uses. The blanket shields flight cases, monitors and cabling from dust and stray boots, and its weight keeps it in place in a gust of wind. Do not lay it over equipment that dissipates heat while it is running: a padded blanket insulates and traps that heat.

How do I get sand, mud and grass off it?

Let the blanket dry completely first: dry mud beats out, wet mud only rubs in deeper. Then beat it out in the open air and brush the pattern down with a soft brush. Treat individual stains with a damp cloth and neutral soap. The washing machine is not an option: in the drum the filling shifts and clumps.
