Not every business that moves furniture is a removal firm. A furniture shop that delivers its own orders, an installation team fitting out offices, or an exhibition builder who transports material twice a year does not need depot stock, but does need a set standing ready. The stripes identify your kit when you lend it out

Small sets are exactly where material goes missing: you hand a blanket to a client or a temporary worker and never see it again. The blue and yellow stripes are woven into the grey cloth rather than printed on, so they stay visible for as long as the blanket lasts. With five blankets every piece counts: one that disappears is twenty per cent of your set.

Why the heavy 1300 gram version

The moving blanket is woven more densely than the storage version. That gives tensile strength under a ratchet strap and a rough surface that stays put on lacquered wood. It is woven from a mix of fabrics including wool, hemmed all round and made entirely from recycled material: both the fibres and the polyester stitching thread.

Moving blanket or storage blanket for a small project?

If you are moving the furniture yourself, this 1300 gram moving blanket is the right choice. If the furniture then stands under a blanket for weeks, for instance in an empty building or a depot, the cheaper 1100 gram storage blanket is enough. For fragile, high-value furniture there is also the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm. Extend the set with corner profiles for sharp edges, floor protectors along the route and protective films for smooth surfaces.

Frequently asked questions

Are five blankets enough for a one-off office move?

For relocating a handful of workstations, yes: allow one blanket per desk top or cabinet door and one as an underlay in the van. If you are moving a whole floor over several runs, two or more packs work better, so there is always a clean stack ready while the other is out.

Can I cut the blanket to size?

We would advise against it. The blanket is hemmed all round; cut that hem away and the weave frays at the cut edge, so the blanket quickly loses its shape. For a smaller area, fold the blanket double - which also gives you a double layer of cushioning exactly where you need it.

How long does a moving blanket like this last?

In normal professional use these blankets last for years. What decides it is not wear on the weave but handling: store them dry, do not drag them over rough concrete edges and never wash above 30 °C. A blanket stored damp will turn musty long before it wears out.

Can I use the blanket as an underlay on the load floor?

Yes, and it is one of the most useful applications. A blanket under a cabinet or washing machine prevents scratches on the load floor and makes sliding heavy items easier. It also works on the toe plate of a sack truck or on a furniture dolly: the rough weave keeps the load in place.
