Storage blanket on a 10 metre roll for workshops short on space

Cutting to size is convenient, but not when the roll takes up half a shelf. This roll of 150 cm wide by 10 metres long is therefore the compact version: 15 m² of textile, around 5 kg, which you lift off the rack with one hand and stand upright in a corner. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for moving blankets and storage blankets, and we supply the roll in two lengths so you are not forced to hold thirty metres of stock for work you do a few times a month.

What 15 square metres will get you through

Fifteen square metres sounds modest, but in practice it covers a complete job. Think of three long worktops staying put in the warehouse, a set of doors that has to be shipped, or fully wrapping a machine that will not be used for the next month. Because you set the length yourself, you are not left with half blankets to fold and store again. For an installation service, a joinery workshop or a dispatch desk handling varying dimensions, that is exactly the gain: you cut per job what the job requires.

Woven, breathable and 100% recycled

The roll is the same woven material as the individual storage blanket: a mix of fabrics including wool. Because it is genuine textile it lets water vapour through, so no moisture sits under the cover — precisely the difference from a sealed plastic cover, under which condensation collects and leaves white marks on lacquered wood or mould on upholstery. Both the fibres and the polyester stitching thread are 100% recycled. Washing is possible at a maximum of 30 °C, including after you have cut the textile to size.

Where this roll stops and another blanket starts

If you mostly wrap complete cabinets and tables, the individual 150 x 200 cm storage blanket at 1100 grams is faster than cutting. If the item goes into the van and ratchet straps are pulled over it, the heavier 1300 gram moving blanket is the right choice: the denser weave absorbs impact and will not split under a strap. For high-value furniture with sharp corners and edges, the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm gives the heaviest cushioning exactly there. For the floor along the walking route use floor covering or floor protectors, and secure cut lengths with tape onto themselves, never onto the item.

Frequently asked questions

When do I choose the 10 metre roll and when the 30 metre roll?

Look at how often you cut, not at the price per metre. If you cut daily or keep a fixed cutting length for recurring shipments, the 30 metre roll is the stock roll that carries you for months. If you use the roll a few times a month, or simply have nowhere to put a large roll, this 10 metre version is the right one: less capital tied up and no roll gathering dust for months.

Can I cut narrow strips from this roll for edges and profiles?

Yes, and that is one of its strongest uses. Cut strips 15 to 30 cm wide and wrap them around a table leg, a frame edge or a protruding profile. Textile follows the shape better than a flat sheet and does not slide off. Secure the strip by folding it back onto itself or with strapping; never tape directly onto the surface you are protecting.

Can I lay a length from the roll as temporary floor protection?

For short jobs in a room where no trolleys are driven, that works well: the textile catches grit and dropped tools. Watch two things, though. On a smooth floor a loose length can slide, so secure the edges. And textile absorbs moisture; if people walk on it with wet shoes, choose dedicated floor protection material made for that purpose.

Can I wash and reuse pieces I have cut to size?

Yes. Wash at a maximum of 30 °C and let the piece dry completely before folding it. A cut length has no hemmed edge, so expect some lint along the cut side after washing. That settles down after a few washes and does not affect the strength of the weave.
