Storage blanket on a roll 150 cm x 30 m - grey - 1 roll
Storage blanket on a roll: 45 m² of protective textile you divide yourself
The most wasted blanket is the one used by halves. A 260 cm worktop, a 90 x 230 cm door, a machine frame with a protruding shaft: with fixed blanket sizes you either wrap one blanket too many around it or you cut a perfectly good blanket in two. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for moving blankets and storage blankets, and this roll of 150 cm wide by 30 metres long solves exactly that: you cut the length the job asks for, from a total of 45 m² of protective textile per roll.
The stock roll for warehouses and workshops that cut every day
Thirty metres is deliberately generous. This roll is aimed at the warehouse or dispatch department repeating the same action daily: covering stock that will stand for weeks again, cutting a piece of textile per order to wrap a workpiece, or interleaving the same run of panels every week. You mount the roll on a shaft or dispenser and pull off to the mark instead of unfolding and refolding blankets. In daily use that is the difference between a ten-second action and a one-minute action.
Woven and breathable, and therefore right for long-term covering
The material is woven storage blanket textile: a mix of fabrics including wool. Because it is genuine textile, it lets water vapour through. That is exactly what you need when a cover stays in place for weeks or months: under a sealed plastic cover the surface cools down overnight, moisture condenses on it and has nowhere to go. That is how white marks appear on lacquered wood and mould patches on upholstery. Under this breathable textile, that same moisture simply dries away. Both the fibres and the polyester stitching thread are made from 100% recycled material, which makes the roll a consistent choice alongside our other sustainable packaging materials. Washing is possible at a maximum of 30 °C.

Roll or individual blanket?
Individual storage blankets of 150 x 200 cm at 1100 grams are faster when you cover a complete item: grab one, throw it over, done. The roll wins as soon as the object does not fit that size or you structurally need a different dimension. Many firms use both: blankets in the warehouse, the roll in the workshop. If the item is going into the van and ratchet straps come into play, choose the heavier 1300 gram moving blanket: that denser weave is built to absorb impact and will not split under a strap. For delicate furniture with sharp corners there is the padded blanket of 183 x 203 cm. Combine the cut textile with foam foil on polished surfaces and secure it with strapping materials.
Frequently asked questions
How do I cut the roll neatly to size?
Roll out the piece you need on a flat surface, lay a straight batten or aluminium profile along the cutting line and cut with a sharp utility knife in one continuous movement. Heavy-duty fabric scissors work too but tend to give a wavy edge. Bear in mind that the cut edge is not hemmed; the weave frays only slightly, but if you want a permanently tidy edge on pieces you will use for years, finish it with a hem or a strip of tape.
How many 150 x 200 cm storage blankets does a 30 metre roll give me?
Exactly 15, because the 150 cm width matches the short side of the standard blanket. If you cut smaller pieces, nothing is left over: an 80 cm length for a door leaf followed by a 220 cm length for a worktop run on from each other without offcuts.
How do I store a part-used roll?
Dry, and not flat on the floor. Rest the roll on two supports or hang it on a shaft against the wall, so no flat pressure mark forms in the weave and no moisture is drawn up from a concrete floor. Textile that takes up moisture eventually smells musty and passes that smell to the first item you cover with it.
Can I handle an 8 kg roll on my own?
Yes. Eight kilos is easy enough for one person to lift; the 150 cm length is more awkward to carry than the weight. If you work from the roll daily, mount it on a shaft or a simple dispenser at working height: you then pull the textile towards you with one hand and keep the other free for the knife.
