Coiled extension leads, a set of hydraulic hoses or a thicker cable run: short ties simply will not do. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we supply the TY200-40X-C for exactly this kind of job. At 203 mm long it secures bundles from 3 to 52.5 mm, while its 3.6 mm strap offers a tensile strength of 180 N. The bag contains 100 pieces.

The black polyamide 6.6 is UV resistant and heat-stabilised; ABB states an operating range of -40 °C to +115 °C for this European version. The pawl is moulded in one piece with the strap and locks at every tooth. With its rounded head and finger grip on the tail, even a larger bundle can be tightened in a single pull. The material is halogen- and silicone-free. More lengths in this colour can be found among our black cable ties.

Because the tie can be used indoors and outdoors, it is just as useful in the workshop as in the farmyard or on site. The extra length also makes it suitable for fixing a cable to a post or pipe.

Frequently asked questions about the TY200-40X-C

How does it differ from the TY125-40X-100?

Both are black, 3.6 mm wide and rated at 180 N. At 203 mm, however, the TY200-40X-C is considerably longer and therefore secures bundles up to 52.5 mm, compared with 32 mm for the TY125-40X-100.

How do I trim the tail neatly?

Cut the tail close to the head so that no sharp point is left to catch your hand on. A cable tie tool cuts flush automatically after tensioning.

Can I reuse the TY200-40X-C?

No. The pawl is designed to lock permanently; to remove the tie, you cut it. For bundles you open frequently, choose a resealable cable tie.
