During an overhaul or turnaround, a handful of heavy bundles often has to be re-secured at short notice, in places where heat or chemicals come into play. The TYZ527M is made for exactly that kind of one-off job: 50 pieces of the heavy 340 mm Tefzel® tie, with a tensile strength of 540 N (approx. 55 kg) and a bundle range of 6 to 95 mm. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and this compact pack lets you buy exactly what the project needs.

Tefzel® is the name under which ABB processes the fluoropolymer ETFE. It stays usable from -45 °C to +150 °C, resists radiation and is unaffected by most solvents and chemicals. The head contains a 316 stainless steel barb that holds the strap firmly at any position. If you have more hot zones to deal with, you will find a wider range among our heat-resistant cable ties.

Thanks to the strong strap and long reach, you can bundle heavy cables and lines in one movement. The UL 94 V-0 rating suits installations with strict fire safety requirements.

If your application is mainly outdoors in full sun, choose black cable ties or, for long-term intense sunlight, extra UV-resistant cable ties.

Frequently asked questions about the TYZ527M

What is the difference between the TYZ527M and the TYZ27M?

Technically they are the same: 340 x 6.9 mm, aquamarine Tefzel®, 540 N. The TYZ527M contains 50 pieces, the TYZ27M 100. For a well-defined project, the smallest pack is often enough.

Is the TYZ527M suitable for outdoor use in the sun?

ABB does not state a specific UV resistance for this version. For applications with a lot of direct sunlight, it is better to choose a tie that is explicitly designed for that purpose.

Can I use it on small bundles as well?

The minimum bundle diameter is 6 mm. For thin bundles, a shorter tie is easier to work with, such as the 92 mm TYZ523M, so there is less excess strap to cut off.
