The TYZ25M is that mid-size option: 186 mm long, with a bundle range of 3 to 48 mm and a tensile strength of 222 N. ABB makes this version from Tefzel®, an ETFE fluoropolymer rated from -45 °C to +150 °C. The material is radiation resistant, hydrolytically stable and does not react with most solvents and chemicals. Locking is handled by a 316 stainless steel barb built into the head, which grips the strap at any point. At 186 mm there is enough length for a substantial bundle in a tray or along a pipe, yet the tie stays compact enough for control cabinets. Its UL 94 V-0 rating offers extra peace of mind where fire safety is closely monitored.

What bundle sizes can the TYZ25M secure?

The manufacturer specifies a bundle diameter of 3 to 48 mm. That covers anything from a few single cores to a solid bundle of control cables in one go. For larger bundles, choose a longer Tefzel® tie, as length determines the maximum bundle diameter.

Does the TYZ25M withstand solvents and cleaning agents?

ETFE is inert to most solvents and chemicals and is also hydrolytically stable. The tie therefore stays intact in areas where cleaning agents or process fluids are used regularly. If you have doubts about a specific substance, just get in touch.

Can I use this cable tie in an area with radiation?

Yes. ABB developed the Tefzel® version specifically as a radiation-resistant tie, and it is used in the nuclear industry and in power stations, among other places.
