When fine wiring has to be bundled in places where ordinary nylon ties fall short, the TYZ23M is the tie to reach for. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we supply this compact Ty-Rap in a bulk pack of 1000 – exactly what you need for series production of wiring harnesses or a standing stock in the workshop. At 92 mm long it closes around bundles from 1.5 to 22 mm, ideal for single cores, sensor wires and instrument lines.

What sets it apart is the material. The strap is made of ETFE, a fluoropolymer that ABB processes under the Tefzel® name. It keeps working from -45 °C to +150 °C, resists radiation and stays inert to most solvents and chemicals. A 316 stainless steel barb in the head bites into the strap, so the lock holds even through repeated temperature swings. Where does the TYZ23M perform best?

This small size is designed for fine work in demanding conditions. Because the material is non-outgassing and silicone-free, it can also be used in installations where surfaces or optics must not be contaminated. A tensile strength of 80 N is plenty for light bundles.

Frequently asked questions about the TYZ23M

What is the difference between the TYZ23M and the TYZ523M?

Both are the same aquamarine Tefzel® tie measuring 92 x 2.4 mm. The TYZ23M is the bulk pack of 1000, while the TYZ523M contains 100. If this size is a regular part of your production, the bulk pack is the logical choice.

What does the UL 94 V-0 rating mean?

UL 94 V-0 is the strictest class in the UL 94 vertical burn test: the material self-extinguishes quickly and does not drip flaming particles. That makes the tie a good fit for installations where fire safety is a priority.

Can I fit the TYZ23M in freezing conditions?

Once installed, the tie can be used down to -45 °C. For the installation itself, the manufacturer recommends a minimum of -20 °C. If it is colder, plan the installation for a time or place where that limit is respected; after that, the bundle can safely stay in freezing conditions.
