The Thomas & Betts TYB27M is a heavy-duty white cable tie measuring 340 mm long and a sturdy 6.9 mm wide. This extra wide strap gives the TYB27M a high tensile strength of 54 kg, more than double that of the 4.8 mm sizes. This makes it the perfect cable ties for heavier bundles and demanding fastenings. The head features a reliable 316 stainless steel lock for a consistently strong closure.

The tie is made of polyamide 6.6 (nylon) and is supplied per box of 500 pieces. Like the other white Thomas & Betts cable ties, the TYB27M is resistant to oils, fats, salt, and diluted chemicals.

What is the white TYB27M cable tie used for?

The wide TYB27M is designed for heavier work. With a tensile strength of 54 kg, it securely holds large, heavy bundles in place, while the bundle range up to 100 mm allows for thick cable harnesses, hoses, and pipes.

White cable ties are not UV resistant and are therefore primarily intended for indoor use. For heavy work in direct sunlight, black cable ties are the better choice.

How do you attach a cable ties?

A cable ties (also known as a cable tie or bundle strap) quickly keeps cables and pipes together. For the wide TYB27M, you guide the strap around the bundle and through the head; once the strap passes the 316 stainless steel lock, the steel tab grips securely.

Since this heavy tie can bear a lot of tension, a sturdy tyrap tool is recommended. It pulls the tie evenly to the correct tension and cuts off the excess part directly, leaving no sharp edges.

What is the maximum bundle size I can tie?

The maximum bundle diameter is 100 mm. In combination with the high tensile strength, this is ideal for thick, heavy bundles.

Is the white TYB27M suitable for outdoor use?

The white version is not UV resistant and is therefore mainly intended for indoor use; for prolonged outdoor use in the sun, it is better to choose a UV-resistant black variant.
