Long, slim natural cable tie: Thomas & Betts TY526MR, 284 x 3.6 mm, bag of 100

Large bundles of light cables, such as network and installation cables, need plenty of length but not a heavy, wide strap. The TY526MR combines exactly that: 284 mm long and only 3.6 mm wide, suitable for bundles up to 76 mm. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we regularly supply this tie to IT installers, electrical engineers and facilities teams.

The strap is made of uncoloured polyamide 6.6, free of halogens and silicone. A 316 stainless steel barb in the low-profile head grips the smooth strap, so you can fine-tune how tightly the bundle sits. That is helpful with cables you do not want to crush. With a tensile strength of 130 N (approx. 13 kg), there is also enough holding force for the weight of a substantial cable bundle. See also our metal tooth cable ties.

Applications for the TY526MR

This natural tie is intended for indoor use, with an operating range of -60 °C to +85 °C. We do not recommend fitting it below -20 °C. Outdoors, a black UV-resistant version is the better choice.

• Installation wiring and lighting cables above suspended ceilings
• Cables under and behind office workstations
• Hoses and cables in laboratories and workshops

Frequently asked questions about the TY526MR

What is the difference between the TY526MR and the TY5253MR?

Both are long natural ties with a metal barb. The TY526MR is 284 mm long and 3.6 mm wide (130 N); the TY5253MR is 295 mm long and 4.8 mm wide (222 N). For light cable bundles the slimmer TY526MR is sufficient; for heavy bundles, choose the wider one.

Is this size also available in a larger pack?

Yes, as the TY26M in packs of 1000. The TY526MR in a bag of 100 is handy for smaller projects or as van stock.

At what temperatures can I use the TY526MR?

Once fitted, from -60 °C to +85 °C. Fit the tie at a temperature of at least -20 °C.
