A short tie that can still take a fair amount of load – that sums up the TY524MR in one sentence. With a length of 140 mm and a 3.6 mm wide strap, it reaches a tensile strength of 178 N, far more than you would expect from a tie this length. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we supply this natural version mainly to installation contractors, maintenance departments and technical services working indoors.

The strap is made of uncoloured polyamide 6.6, free of halogens and silicone and compliant with RoHS and REACH. A 316 stainless steel barb in the low head locks the smooth strap at exactly the tension you choose. There are no serrations in the strap, so no weak spots are created. Where the TY524MR makes the difference

This tie secures bundles up to 35 mm in diameter tightly and permanently. The uncoloured strap blends in against light backgrounds such as white walls, trunking or equipment. Use it indoors, as natural polyamide is not UV resistant.

Why choose a natural cable tie?

Natural ties are barely noticeable in light indoor spaces and are the standard choice in many installations. For outdoor use or strong sunlight we recommend the black TY524MXR.

Is the TY524MR halogen-free?

Yes. The polyamide 6.6 is free of halogens and silicone and complies with RoHS and REACH, which makes the tie suitable for building installations where this is a deliberate requirement.

Can I release the tie later?

No, the metal barb is designed for a permanent connection; to remove it, you cut the tie. For bundles you open regularly, resealable cable ties are more practical.
