Thomas & Betts TY48M: natural identification cable tie with marker pad, 360 x 4.8 mm

Bundle cables and show straight away what is in the bundle: that is what the TY48M does. This natural 360 x 4.8 mm Ty-Rap has a writable marker area of about 12.7 x 57 mm, so you can label a cable group, circuit or connection on the spot. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we supply this identification tie in boxes of 1000, ideal for installers and maintenance teams who want to keep their cabling easy to trace.

The tie is made of halogen-free, silicone-free polyamide 6.6 rated UL94 V-2. The head holds a grade 316 stainless steel barb that locks the strap at any point, so the marker stays in position once tightened. With a 4.8 mm strap, it is also considerably stronger than narrower ties. If you use this type of lock regularly, you will find more models among our metal tooth cable ties.

The TY48M wraps bundles from 19 to 102 mm with a tensile strength of 220 N. It keeps thicker cable bundles together and shows at a glance what they feed. The natural version is not UV-resistant and is intended for indoor use.

Frequently asked questions about the TY48M

What is the difference between the TY48M and the TY28M-2?

Both have the same length and width. The TY48M also has a marker area for labelling the bundle; the TY28M-2 is the version without a label.

Can I use the TY48M on thin bundles?

This tie is intended for bundles from 19 mm up to 102 mm. For thinner bundles, a smaller cable tie is the better choice.

How large is the marker area?

The writable area measures about 12.7 x 57 mm, which is plenty for a group number, a circuit code or a short description.
