At the heart of this Ty-Rap is the 316 stainless steel barb in its low-profile head. The barb is corrosion resistant and non-magnetic, and it locks the polyamide 6.6 strap at any point, leaving no play once tightened. The low head also does not snag on clothing or other cables. Orange works well as a marker in production and maintenance because it contrasts with grey enclosures and black cables. Use the tie indoors: the coloured version is not UV-stabilised.

The TY525M-CLRS is a bag of 100 ties in mixed colours in the same size. Choose the TY25M-3 when you need one colour, orange, in larger quantities.

At what temperatures can I use this tie?

According to ABB, the tie is suitable from -60 °C to +85 °C. Ideally install it above -20 °C, as polyamide is less flexible in severe cold.

Can the metal barb rust?

No. The barb is made of 316 stainless steel, a corrosion-resistant grade that is also non-magnetic.
