Where standard 6.9 mm heavy-duty ties reach their limit, the TY53510MX takes over. With an 8.2 mm wide strap, this Ty-Rap achieves a tensile strength of 780 N – approx. 79 kg – and at 889 mm long it closes around bundles of up to 254 mm. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we mainly supply this tie to industry, energy companies and infrastructure contractors who need to secure heavy bundles for the long term. Each pack contains 50 pieces.

The strap is made of black polyamide 6.6, stabilised against UV and weathering, and is halogen-free. A 316 stainless steel barb in the head bites into the notch-free strap and locks it steplessly. Tensile strength depends on strap width. At 8.2 mm, the strap of the TY53510MX is wider than that of the 6.9 mm series, which is why it reaches 780 N (approx. 79 kg) rather than 534 N.

What do the digits in the type code TY53510MX mean?

The 5 stands for the pack of 50, 35 for the length of 35 inches (889 mm) and 10 for the maximum bundle diameter of 10 inches (254 mm). The M indicates the metal barb and the X the black, weather-resistant version.

How does it differ from the TY54513MX?

Both are black, extra-strong ties with a stainless steel barb and the same tensile strength. The TY54513MX is longer at 1143 mm and closes around bundles of up to 330 mm. For bundles up to 254 mm, the TY53510MX is sufficient and leaves less tail to trim.
