Black Thomas & Betts TY529MX: long 771 x 6.9 mm outdoor tie, 50 pieces per pack

Not everyone needs 500 at a time. For field engineers, landscapers or event crews who occasionally need an extra-long tie, the TY529MX is the practical choice: the same 771 mm Ty-Rap as the TY29MX, but packed in 50s. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for Thomas & Betts cable ties, and we find this small pack is often ordered to top up an existing stock.

The black polyamide 6.6 is stabilised against UV and weathering and retains its properties from -60 °C to +105 °C. The strap is notch-free, so there are no weak points caused by serrations, and the ribbed tail gives you grip as you tighten. A 316 stainless steel barb in the head locks steplessly. You will find the same combination in shorter lengths among our black cable ties.

What is the difference between the TY529MX and the TY529M?

Both measure 771 x 6.9 mm and have a stainless steel barb. The TY529MX is black and UV resistant, so suitable for outdoor use, and can be used up to +105 °C. The natural TY529M is not UV-stable and is intended for indoor use, up to +85 °C.

Why is the strap of the TY529MX notch-free?

Many cable ties have cross-ribs in the strap for a pawl to engage. The TY529MX has a smooth, notch-free strap into which the stainless steel barb bites. This avoids stress concentrations and lets you tighten steplessly.

How does this tie behave in a fire?

According to the ABB catalogue, the polyamide 6.6 of the TY529MX is rated UL94 V-2. The material is also halogen-free.
