Thomas & Betts TY25MX cable ties 186 x 4.8 mm in black

The Thomas & Betts TY25MX is a black cable tie measuring 186 mm in length and 4.8 mm in width. With this width and a bundle diameter of up to 45 mm, the TY25MX belongs to the sturdier mid-size range: strong enough for heavier cable bundles but still user-friendly. The head features a 316 stainless steel locking mechanism that holds the strap securely in place.

The strap is made of polyamide 6.6 (nylon) and is supplied in a box of 1000 pieces. Like the other black Thomas & Betts cable ties , this size is UV resistant and resistant to oil, grease, salt, and diluted chemicals.

What is the black TY25MX cable tie used for?

The TY25MX is a true workhorse size: long enough for bundles up to 45 mm and with a tensile strength of 23 kg, suitable for robust applications. Since the black variant is UV resistant, it can be used both indoors and outdoors.

How do you attach a cable tie?

A cable tie (also known as a bundle tie) quickly holds cables and pipes together. The pointed end is inserted through the head; once the strap passes the 316 stainless steel locking mechanism, the metal tab engages and the tie cannot be loosened.

For the wider TY25MX and larger quantities, a tyrap tool is recommended. This tightens the tie evenly and cuts off the excess part immediately, so there are no sharp ends left behind.
