The black cable tie of 230 x 13 mm is made of strong polyamide 6.6 (nylon) and has a tensile strength of 114 kg. With it you fix cables, hoses and pipes up to a bundle diameter of 50 mm tightly and permanently in place. The pack contains 100 pieces.

How do you fasten a cable tie?

The closure works on the ratchet principle: the toothed end slides through the head and clicks tooth by tooth into place, without running back. Tightening by hand is enough for most jobs; for larger numbers you work faster and more evenly with a cable tie tool.

Are these cable ties suitable for heavy bundles?

Yes, the greater width gives a high tensile strength. For the very heaviest applications there are special heavy-duty cable ties.

Can I tighten the cable tie by hand, or do I need a tool?

Both are possible. By hand you simply pull the tie tight; with a cable tie tool you tension it to a preset, even tension and cut the end off flush in the same action.

Are black cable ties suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, the black version contains a UV-stabilising additive and is therefore resistant to sunlight. Natural/white ties are mainly intended for indoor use.
