That depends entirely on the contents. With average goods the load stays comfortable for one person, while dense material is better lifted with help. Spread the load across the base so the seam is not stressed on one side.

Can this format be stacked on a pallet?

It can, as long as you alternate the long sides from layer to layer. Put the heaviest boxes at the bottom and wrap the pallet so nothing can shift in transit.

When is double wall the better option?

Once the stack goes beyond three layers or the contents are unusually dense. A double wall box then delivers stacking strength that single wall can no longer provide.
