Single wall box 590 x 390 x 385 mm - matched to the 600 x 400 mm format

A great deal of logistics revolves around one base format: 600 by 400 mm. Euro containers, stacking crates and the layout of a euro pallet are all built on it. At 590 x 390 x 385 mm this box is a few millimetres smaller, so it drops into a container of that size and fills a euro pallet four to a layer. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall packaging, and this is one of the sizes most often fitted into existing systems within our folding boxes.

Volume and grade

The height of 385 mm makes this a generous model: close to 90 litres in a single wall of 4 mm with a C-flute. At this volume that grade is the minimum we advise. If the load gets heavier and the stack gets taller, double wall shipping boxes are the safer route.

Frequently asked questions

Does this box really fit a 600 x 400 mm euro container?

It does. The 590 by 390 mm footprint leaves just enough clearance for the box to drop in without binding. Allow for the wall thickness if your crate tapers towards the base.

How does it compare with a series that has fixed heights?

The footprint is almost identical, but such series offer only two set heights. This model sits between them at 385 mm and is usually chosen for the crate dimension.

Should I tape the base twice?

Over a surface of nearly half a square metre we advise an H-seal: the centre seam plus both cross seams. That spreads the load and keeps the flaps lying flat.
