Single wall box 540 x 360 x 320 mm - the in-between size in 4 mm C-flute

Sometimes a product just misses the size below it and swims in the size above. This format exists for exactly that gap. At 540 x 360 x 320 mm you sit between the round standard dimensions, and in practice that saves a serious amount of void fill. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall folding cartons, and we deliberately keep these less predictable sizes within our folding boxes in stock.

Grade and build-up

The grade is single wall in 4 mm with a C-flute: one fluted layer between two liners, in the thicker of the two single wall qualities. That gives the box enough spring for medium-weight goods without the bulk and the cost of a double wall construction. For much smaller consignments, postal boxes are the better pick.

Why choose such an unusual size?

Because the packaging closest to the product travels most cheaply. Every centimetre of air you send costs void fill, loading space and, with many carriers, chargeable weight as well. Set that against a full year of shipping and the effect is obvious.

Are the dimensions given internal measurements?

Yes, 540 x 360 x 320 mm are the internal dimensions. For a tight application, allow for the outside being a few millimetres larger on each side because of the wall thickness.

Can I take a larger quantity in one go?

You can, and it pays off. Buying by the pallet brings the price per box down noticeably and leaves you with stock for a longer period after a single delivery.
