Typical uses

The board is a 4 mm single wall C-flute. The C-flute is taller and coarser than the B-flute of the 3 mm quality, so the wall flexes more and absorbs a knock better. Bottles, tins and jars stay upright instead of rolling, appliances have room all round for a cushioning layer, and tall collection boxes take two layers of contents without becoming awkward to handle. If the load is heavy and stacked high, double wall shipping boxes are the safer choice.

Frequently asked questions

What does 4 mm give me over 3 mm?

The C-flute is taller, so the wall flexes more and recovers better after a knock. In return you need slightly more fill, because the external size grows by a few millimetres on each side. Allow for that with fragile goods.

Can I ship bottles in here standing up?

You can, as long as you use dividers or cushioning so the bottles cannot touch. The box holds the load upright, keeping the units apart is the job of the insert.

May anything be stacked on top of this box?

Limited stacking is fine, but put the load on the corners. That is where corrugated board carries its strength. For tall stacks double wall remains the safe option.
