At 450 x 350 x 350 mm this box sits close to a cube, with only the length reaching beyond the width and the height. That is a favourable shape: the content rests in the middle with roughly the same clearance on every side, which saves both cushioning and packing time. Gross capacity comes to a good 55 litres. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall corrugated boxes, and customers reach for this size from our folding boxes when a load takes up a lot of room but weighs very little.
Because light content barely supports the walls, the thicker 4 mm C-flute was chosen here instead of 3 mm. The box therefore stands straight even when it is only half full. If heavy goods go in, or if you stack high, double wall shipping boxes offer more stacking strength.
Bulky products: foam parts, insulation, moulded plastics and lampshades.
Bundled items: several light units sent out as a single parcel.
Packaging material: bubble film, loose fill and air cushions that you pass on yourself.

It may well be. Carriers apply volumetric weight to large, light parcels. Check your carrier's calculation rule before you adopt the size as standard, because that rule sets your rate far more than the actual weight does.
Fold the short flaps first, then the long ones, and run a roll of 50 mm tape over the seam in one movement. Filling the box to just under the rim keeps the flaps lying flat.
Yes, 350 mm of height is enough for two layers of around 15 cm with a board divider between them. Keep the heaviest layer at the bottom.
