Single wall box 450 x 350 x 250 mm - 4 mm C-flute for equipment

Equipment is rarely shipped loose in a box. There is usually a moulded insert, a foam bed or an inner carton around it, and the outer box mainly has to absorb knocks and hold the content in place. The 450 x 350 x 250 mm format with a 4 mm C-flute suits that job well. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall shipping cartons, and this is one of the sizes most often ordered for technical products - you will find it among our folding boxes.

The C-flute is coarser and taller than the B-flute of the 3 mm quality. That extra millimetre works like a spring: a blow on the outside is partly taken up in the flute layer before it reaches the content. At the same time, 350 mm of width leaves room for a cushioning layer of several centimetres all round, and in practice that is what really protects a device.

Questions we are often asked

How much cushioning should I allow for?

For equipment, reckon on three to five centimetres all round, and a little more on the base than at the sides. Once the box is closed the content should no longer be able to move.

Is this box suitable for courier shipping?

Yes. The format falls within the regular parcel class with most carriers. Tape the bottom and top seams in an H pattern.

Can I have my own logo printed on the box?

This version is supplied in plain brown. Printing becomes possible from larger quantities onward, so do let us know what you take over a year.
