Single wall box 450 x 300 x 250 mm - room for bulky, lightweight loads

Not every shipment is heavy. When goods take up a lot of space and weigh very little, single wall board is the logical choice: you are not paying for material you do not need. At 450 x 300 x 250 mm this model offers a good 33 litres of capacity at a very low tare weight, and A3 lies flat on the base. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall boxes and we keep this size in stock among our folding boxes.

The 4 mm C-flute is a deliberate choice here. A large box with light contents gets almost no support from the inside, so the wall has to hold its own shape. The coarser flute provides that spring and absorbs the knocks a parcel picks up in a sorting centre. A comparable version in 3 mm sits with the rest of our single wall shipping boxes.

Is single wall strong enough for a box this size?

For light and medium loads, yes. The limit is not the format but the weight per box and the stacking pressure. If you stack high with dense contents, a double wall shipping box is wiser.

How many litres does this box hold?

Roughly 33 litres gross. How much of that you actually use depends on the shape of your articles. With irregular shapes, reckon on about four fifths of the volume in practice.

Can these boxes run through an automated packing line?

Yes. They arrive flat and accurately creased, so they set up cleanly and the top flaps fall shut evenly.
