Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall shipping cartons, and this low format is one of the sizes that almost always goes out on consolidated orders. At 450 x 280 x 150 mm you lay several order lines next to each other in a single layer rather than splitting them over three small parcels. One consignment instead of three means lower carriage, fewer labels and less packing time. You will find the size among our folding boxes.

The board is a single wall grade of 4 mm in a C-flute: one fluted layer between two flat liners, but with a coarser flute than the usual 3 mm. That gives extra spring and, over a length of 450 mm, a bottom that does not sag under a mixed load. For heavy, concentrated goods, look at double wall shipping boxes instead.

Frequently asked questions

Why 4 mm and not 3 mm at this size?

At 450 x 280 mm the base is fairly large for a single wall box. The coarser C-flute keeps that bottom stiffer, which you notice as soon as you want a mixed load to fit in one layer.

How much can I put in it?

For consolidated consignments with moderate contents this is a sound box, as long as you spread the load over the whole bottom and fill the voids.

What is the best way to close a long box?

Tape the seam along its full length and secure the end seams too when the contents are heavier. A dispenser with a roll of 50 mm tape works faster than loose strips.
