Long articles belong in a long box. Put a profile, a light fitting or a set of tubes in a square carton and the goods slide back and forth, swallowing far more padding than needed. At 400 x 200 x 100 mm the contents stay snug where you put them. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for folding boxes, and this narrow model is one of the standing formats on the packing line.

The board choice stands out: single wall of 4 mm in C-flute instead of the thinner 3 mm. In a narrow, long carton there is very little material between the contents and the outside world, and the coarser C-flute gives that wall the stiffness not to buckle in a sorting centre. With 60 packs to a pallet the storage footprint stays small, and anyone ordering several packs at once pays less per carton thanks to volume pricing. The delivery time is 2 to 3 working days.

What is the maximum length that fits inside?

The internal measurement is 400 mm. Deduct a few millimetres of working room if you still want to wrap the contents, so plan on around 390 mm for the article itself.

How do I tape a narrow carton neatly?

Run the long seam right along its full length and add a short strip across each end. That stops the head flaps from springing open while the parcel is being sorted.

Can I lay several articles next to each other?

With 200 mm of width a second or third article fits alongside. Do place a strip of board between hard parts so they cannot rub against each other on the way.
