A box with equal sides is the easiest one to pack: the goods go in the middle and have the same amount of room all round for a protective layer. That saves void fill and time. At 350 x 350 x 350 mm it holds a good 42 litres. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall cardboard boxes, and we see this size ordered together with protective and filling materials more often than any other.
The version here is 4 mm with a C-flute. The flutes are taller than in 3 mm B-flute board, so the wall has more spring and absorbs a knock better. On a large box that is no luxury, because the bigger the panel, the sooner a thin wall starts to bulge.

With equal sides the goods sit centrally and the padding is the same thickness at every edge. You do not have to work out per shipment how the item should go in. For flat or long goods a different shape makes more sense.
For breakable items of limited weight it is, provided you pad all round. If heavy and breakable come together, or the boxes get stacked on a pallet, look at a double wall version instead.
Open the blank out on the bench, fold the two opposing bottom flaps in first and run one strip of tape along the seam. On a panel of 350 mm an H shaped seal underneath is worth the extra strip.
