Square box 300 x 300 x 180 mm - 4 mm single wall for sets and mixed assortments

An almost square box packs quite differently from a long, narrow model: the contents sit in the middle with roughly the same clearance on every side, which makes packing a mixed assortment a great deal simpler. With internal dimensions of 300 x 300 x 180 mm this is exactly that kind of format. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for folding boxes, and this size is mainly chosen for consignments whose contents vary from one order to the next.

The board is a single wall quality of 4 mm with a C-flute. That is the strongest single wall grade available, and at this volume it is also the obvious one: a roomy box has to hold its shape while you are filling it. Compared with the 3 mm version you will need slightly more void fill, but you get noticeable spring back in the walls in return.

What is the advantage of a square box?

The contents have the same clearance all round, so you do not have to pad each side separately. That saves time on the packing bench and material on every consignment.

How much void fill do I need with 4 mm board?

Allow a layer of a few centimetres around fragile contents. The 4 mm flute absorbs the knock at the wall, while the void fill keeps the contents away from that wall.

Can I combine this size with larger packaging?

That works well. Many customers use this model for individual assortments and double wall shipping boxes for the heavier consolidated loads. The footprints line up neatly on the pallet.
