Single wall box 300 x 200 x 170 mm - 4 mm board for sets and combined orders

An order made up of several items is best sent in one box. It lowers shipping costs, it saves paperwork and the customer does not receive half a delivery. An internal size of 300 x 200 x 170 mm gives most sets enough room. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for single wall folding cartons and we supply picking lines with the cardboard boxes they run through every day.

This format comes in a single wall of 4 mm. Compared with the 3 mm quality there is a taller flute layer in the board, which makes the wall more resilient. With a set of items of differing weight that pays off, because the heaviest part is less likely to press a crease into the side.

Why this height

At 170 mm you can pack two layers on top of each other without the lid standing proud. That is what counts at the packing bench, because the packer does not have to judge whether the order still fits and can simply load it.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pack items of different weights in one box?

Put the heaviest part at the bottom and in the middle, with lighter parts above it. An interleaving sheet stops hard components rubbing against each other and scratching their neighbours.

Why 4 mm rather than the 3 mm version?

With mixed contents the wall takes more pressure in places, and the taller flute absorbs it. If you only ship light, uniform items, 3 mm is usually enough for the job.

Can the board be recycled after delivery?

Yes. This is unprinted, uncoated corrugated board that belongs entirely in the waste paper stream. Just remove tape and labels first so the fraction stays clean.
