Not every box leaves the building straight away. Plenty of companies use board as stock packaging too, filled, closed and sitting on a rack for months. Shape retention then counts for more than shipping weight. This box of 280 x 220 x 200 mm in a 4 mm C-flute is built for exactly that. Since 2007, we have been the go-to wholesaler for corrugated shipping cartons and we supply the folding boxes for this kind of everyday warehouse work.

The generous height leaves you enough margin to add a layer of cushioning all round. That is exactly what the 4 mm flute asks for, a little more fill volume in return for a wall that takes a knock and springs back. For real stacking pressure at the bottom of a tall pallet, double wall remains the right answer.

Frequently asked questions

Can corrugated board stand in a warehouse for a long time?

Yes, as long as it stays dry and at an even temperature. Corrugated board takes up moisture and loses strength with it, so do not store the boxes against a cold outside wall or underneath a drain.

How many layers can I put on a pallet?

That depends mainly on the weight of the contents. With light contents this box will carry a full pallet build. With heavy contents a layer pad between tiers works better than boxes resting straight on each other. Check too that the pallet is wrapped neatly, so the stack cannot shift in transit.

Why not go straight to double wall?

Because you would be paying for strength you are not using. For contents up to medium weight this version is more than enough. Only with genuinely heavy or high-stacked consignments do double wall shipping boxes pay off.
